Teen arrested on attempted murder charges

THUNDER BAY — A youth has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting last month. 

Members of the Thunder Bay Police's Break and Enter and Robbery Unit arrested a 17-year-old on April 10 in connection to the shooting that occurred near Trillium Court in late March. 

At the time, police responded to a weapons call, and a victim had been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. 

The identity of the accused cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused was in court on Thursday and faced a total of 15 charges, including attempted murder.

The youth was remanded into custody with a future court date.
