THUNDER BAY – A 19-year-old male has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Thunder Bay Police, in a news release, said they responded to an assault call in the 400 block of Ray Boulevard, just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police located an injured male at the scene and paramedics transported the victim to hospital for treatment of injuries that are considered serious, but not life-threatening.

A male suspect was located, arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The accused appeared in court on Wednesday and has been remanded into custody to face a future court appearance.

It is Newswatch policy not to name suspects in cases in which it is unlikely we will follow them through to their conclusion in court.
