THUNDER BAY – The North Core’s annual Halloween festival will return on Oct. 29 after a two-year hiatus.
The Hunger 15, presented by Definitely Superior Art Gallery as a fundraiser for the contemporary arts, will see 7 venues in downtown Port Arthur Turn into what is sure to be a graveyard smash.
In total, 50 Acts will be performed across seven venues including The Foundry, Black Pirates Pub, The Sovereign Room, Port Arthur Legion Branch 5, Red Lion Smokehouse, and Atmos, along with The Paramount which will be pulling double duty with two stages and two parties to attend.
Organizers encourage residents to “enter the multi-verse" of the 15th year, special edition of the festival which will feature some great performers like Nick Sherman, Robin Ranger, and Cartwrights and feature thousands in Halloween costume contest prizes at all locations and venues with the opportunity to even win some prizes in the street.
Those interested in attending are advised to arrive early. No advance tickets or wristbands are being sold, wristbands, which will provide entry to every venue can be bought for $20 (cash only) at any participating venue’s door the night of the event.
This year’s event will be helping to support the phase II transition/renovations into Definitely Superior Art Gallery’s new industrial gallery complex space, located in the Cumberland Cinema 5 building, and its annual multi-disciplinary contemporary arts + educational New Generation/Youth programming.
