THUNDER BAY — Three people have been arrested after a search warrant was executed on South Cumberland Street on Wednesday.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service's intelligence unit carried out the warrant along with the assistance of the OPP's organized crime enforcement bureau.

Three people were found within the residence, located in the 100 block of South Cumberland Street. All three were arrested.

Police seized unspecified quantities of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl as well as cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

A 43-year-old from Thunder Bay, a 40-year-old from Toronto, and a 16-year-old from Brampton are charged with two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

All three accused appeared in court on Tuesday and remain in custody with future court appearance dates.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
