KENORA, Ont. – Three men are facing charges following a complaint of a theft from a vehicle earlier this week.
Ontario Provincial Police received a complaint on Sunday of a theft from a vehicle on Lake of the Woods near French Portage Narrows.
Police say upon further investigation, it was determined a cottage was broken into in the area of Chapel Island and firearms were stolen.
As a result of the investigation, three men have been charged with theft under $5,000, break and enter and stealing a firearm, possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.
On Thursday, police recovered the outstanding stolen firearm.
They will appear in Kenora court Friday to answer to the charges.
