THUNDER BAY — Three people are facing charges after OPP stopped a vehicle that turned out to be stolen in Winnipeg.
Police released details Tuesday about an incident that occurred on the weekend, when a business on Highway 102 reported the theft of gas.
After locating and stopping a sports car, officers learned it had been reported stolen in Manitoba.
The driver also provided false information about his identity.
The 30-year-old Winnipeg resident is charged with driving a motor vehicle without a licence, theft, possession of property obtained by crime, identity fraud, and failure to wear a seat belt.
He and two passengers, also from Winnipeg, are also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
