THUNDER BAY – The winner of the record-breaking Thunder Bay 50/50 jackpot will be able to afford to buy a half-share in the Six Million Dollar Man – and likely have plenty of money left over to play with.
The monthly grand prize on Saturday night topped $3 million for the first time, and sits at nearly $3,050,000 on the morning of Christmas Eve, with four-and-a-half days of ticket sales to go before Friday’s draw.
“We are beyond amazed and grateful for the tremendous support our draw is receiving,” said Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation president and CEO Glenn Craig, in a release issued on Sunday morning.
“It never gets old, making people rich and we can’t wait to find out who wins this $3-million plus grand prize this Friday morning.”
Another pair of $25,000 early bird prize draws are also yet to come on Wednesday, Craig reminded.
Tickets, on sale through Thursday night at 11:59 p.m., can be purchased online at www.thunderbay5050.ca or in person at the Foundation’s store, located adjacent to the food court at Intercity Shopping Centre.
Ticket buyers must be physically in Ontario at the time of purchase.
