Thunder Bay 50/50 tops last year's $2.34-million record

Thursday is the final day to purchase tickets for the draw.

THUNDER BAY -- The lucky ticket-holder who gets the highly anticipated call on Friday morning from Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation CEO Glenn Craig will take home a record jackpot in the Thunder Bay 50/50 draw.

The grand prize on Thursday, the final day for tickets sales, soared past last year's record $2,340,035 December jackpot and sits at $2,343,465 and counting. 

Money from this month's draw is being used to help fund a three-stage improvement to the emergency department at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Ticket sales close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday and are available at www.thunderbay5050.ca.
