Thunder Bay Airport announces some fee changes

Some fees for parking and for aircraft operators will increase on Jan. 1, 2022

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay Airport authority has announced fee changes that will take effect Jan. 1, 2022.

Rate changes will affect vehicle parking as well as aircraft.

Vehicle parking rate adjustments are as follows:

  • Long-term parking daily maximum – $15.25 (currently $14.75)
  • Short-term/premium parking  daily maximum – $33.00 (currently $32.00)

In its announcement, the airport authority noted that the first 20 minutes in short-term parking is free.

It costs $1.00 for 30 minutes in short-term parking.

For aircraft operators, a range of fees will all increase by 3.0 per cent.

These include landing fees, terminal fees, aircraft parking fees and loading bridge/ground boarding fees.

Thunder Bay Airport says it is the only airport in Canada that charges no passenger departure fee.
