ATIKOKAN — A Thunder Bay man has lost his driving privileges for at least three months after a recent collision on Highway 11.
OPP released details of the Dec. 11 incident Tuesday.
According to police, the 47-year-old was arrested following a single-vehicle collision that saw his vehicle roll over on the highway about 10 km east of Atikokan.
Officers were sent to the collision scene about 11 a.m., and determined that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
When the man failed a roadside breathalyzer test, he was taken to the Atikokan detachment where additional testing confirmed the initial results.
The motorist was charged with impaired driving, had his licence suspended for 90 days, and saw his vehicle impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in late January.
