Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to an afternoon blaze

An air quality test was done using specialized monitors to ensure harmful products of combustion were not present in the home before departing.

THUNDER BAY – At approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a blaze in a residence on Skyline Avenue.

The first arriving unit observed smoke showing from the front door and immediately initiated a second alarm.

Firefighters made entry into the residence and quickly extinguished the fire. 

Two crews remained on scene to clear all residual smoke from the residence.

An air quality test was done using specialized monitors to ensure harmful products of combustion were not present in the home before departing.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Service would like to remind the public to use caution when cooking and keep combustible materials away from stove elements.
