THUNDER BAY - An assault that took place in a northside Thunder Bay apartment has led to criminal charges against a city man.
Police say the male victim of the incident was taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries late Saturday afternoon following what they describe as a serious assault.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Cumberland Street South just before 4:30 pm after reports of a disturbance.
As a result of an investigation by the TBPS major crimes unit and forensic investigation unit, a male suspect was identified and taken into custody.
31-year-old Cory Lynden Fox is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
He appeared in bail court on Sunday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
Police continued to hold the scene of the crime.
