THUNDER BAY – A 26-year-old Thunder Bay man has been arrested and charged with multiple child pornography offences.

Police on Thursday said they began an investigation in June 2024 after it was learned a local internet user was suspected of downloading child pornography.

A warrant was executed at a Norah Street home and as a result, a suspect turned himself into police and was arrested earlier this month.

Nicholas Tessier was charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and distributing child pornography.

The accused has made an initial court appearance and was remanded into custody to face a future court appearance.
