Thunder Bay OPP media release follows:
MALE CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING OFFENCES
(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Saturday, February 20, 2016 at approximately 1:45 am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a vehicle parked on Highway 588 in O’Connor Township and there was concern for the male driver who was inside the vehicle.
Officers attended and spoke with the driver and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. He was transported for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, Michael PLAS, 23 years of age, from Thunder Bay has been charged with the following:
-Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol,
-Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol,
-Driving While Disqualified, all contrary to the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on April 8, 2016 to answer to the charges.
