Gregory Cheadle won $100,000 playing Encore in the Aug. 17 Ontario 49 draw.

THUNDER BAY -- A Thunder Bay man got the surprise of a lifetime when he checked his Ontario 49 lottery ticket last month. 

Gregory Cheadle learned he'd matched six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order, earning him a $100,000 jackpot. 

Cheadle bought the winning ticket at the Circle K on May Street in Thunder Bay.
