THUNDER BAY – A Thunder Bay man is taking home a brand new vehicle after winning a Boys and Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay draw.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay announced Scott Taylor as the winner of its Dream Bronco vehicle raffle on Wednesday.
Taylor will be bringing home the new 2022 Ford Bronco, while second prize winner Linda Van Stone received $3,000 in gift certificates.
The annual fundraiser brought in an estimated $50,000 for the local organization, said Boys and Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay CEO Albert Aiello.
“We have day camps over the holidays, we do such a wide variety of activities, everything from cooking classes to nutrition programs, to tutoring programs, science programs, it just goes on,” he said.
“All the money stays directly here and it just helps support the day-to-day operations of what we do day in and day out for kids throughout the city.
Aiello said that he's grateful to all the volunteers and vendors who made the fundraiser possible, in particular, the members of the Thunder Bay North Stars hockey team who played a big part in putting the draw together this year.
