Thunder Bay OPP nab four impaired drivers in three days

One of the drivers was also charged with dangerous driving, and another with speeding
opp-lights

THUNDER BAY — A quartet of area residents will appear before a judge at different times in the coming weeks after they were all allegedly found driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs.

OPP have also charged one of the accused with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

On Monday evening, a 33-year-old resident of Shuniah was charged with impaired driving and dangerous operation of a vehicle after police investigated a complaint from a member of the public about a driver on Lakeshore Drive.

On Saturday afternoon, a 26-year-old resident of Kakabeka Falls was stopped when the OPP observed a vehicle being driven at high speed on Highway 11/17 in Conmee Township.

Then on Sunday, a RIDE program on Highway 588 in Lybster Township caught a 29-year-old Thunder Bay man.

And a 47-year-old Slate River man was arrested early Tuesday morning during a RIDE program on Highway 589 in Gorham Township.

Charges include impaired driving, speeding and failing to produce an insurance card.
