THUNDER BAY —An officer with the Thunder Bay Police Service has been charged with multiple infractions under the Police Services Act.
The charges against Constable Peter Haase include two counts of discreditable conduct, insubordination, and unlawful or unnecessary exercise of authority.
He's scheduled for his first appearance on the matter to deal with procedural issues on Sept. 12, 2022.
Details of what led up to the charges are not available at this point.
But according to an incident summary posted online by TBPS, it's alleged that Haase was uncivil to a member of the public, failed to treat or protect persons equally, used unnecessary and unlawful force against another person contacted in the execution of duties, and disobeyed, omitted or neglected to carry out a lawful order.
The charges have yet to be be proven.
