COLUMBIA, S.C. – Former St. Ignatius Falcons basketball star Agot Makeer is headed to the Palmetto State.

Makeer, the No. 4 recruit in the espnW rankings and a McDonald’s All-American, plans to play college ball at the University of South Carolina, announcing her highly anticipated decision on Saturday.

“No long caption, just know I’m home,” Makeer wrote on her Instagram page.

Makeer, who still spends her offseason in Thunder Bay, attends Florida’s Montverde Academy.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are currently 27-2 and ranked fourth in the nation. Makeer had considered a number of other schools, including Connecticut and Michigan State, which were also in her final three choices
