THUNDER BAY — Close to 2,000 customers of Hydro One in the Thunder Bay area were affected Tuesday morning by power outages that occurred overnight.
A spokesperson said strong wind that occurred during thunderstorm activity brought trees or tree limbs onto power lines.
According to the utility's website, there were close to two dozen outages involving customers to the north, west and southwest of the city.
Hydro One projected that power would be restored to most customers by Tuesday afternoon.
