TORONTO – The Lakehead Thunderwolves hope to put their first weekend behind them.

The Wolves on Saturday dropped a second straight decision on the road against the Toronto Metropolitan Bold, falling 75-50 to fall to 0-2 to start the season.

Ally Burke led LU in scoring again, pouring in 16 points, but the team shot just 37.5 per cent from the field. Kelly-Ann Colombe was the only other Lakehead player to hit double figures, putting up 10 while grabbing five rebounds.

The Bold got 14 points from Kaillie Hall and controlled the play down low, outscoring the Thunderwolves 40-26 in the paint.

Lakehead hosts the York Lions next Friday and Saturday night at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse. Game time is 6 p.m.
