Toronto teen charged with attempted murder

THUNDER BAY – A Toronto teen has been charged with attempted murder following an incident that took place last Wednesday.

City police, in a release issued on Monday, said the 15-year-old remains in custody following the incident, which took place in the area of Court and McVicar streets, just before 3 p.m. on June 29.

Police were initially called to an incident involving a weapon, but when they arrived found an injured adult male.

Paramedics rushed the victim to hospital for further evaluation and treatment and the extent of those injuries remain unknown at this time.

The accused cannot be named under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
