THUNDER BAY – Tourism Thunder Bay is getting a whole new look with their new tourism brand Identity Launched this month.

Tourism Thunder Bay describes it as friendly, relaxed, and unpretentious and says it marks a new direction for Tourism Thunder Bay, focusing on a more modern approach to attracting visitors.

The new campaign stresses Thunder Bay as Canada's premier outdoor city, in hopes of marketing it as adventurous and connected to nature; something people are looking for as they come out of two long years of COVID restrictions.

"Really sort of re-positions the destination in a whole new light with visitors. They'll see it and as part of the bigger strategy they'll see the imagery, see the video, see the storytelling content that goes with that and sort of enticing them to choose Thunder Bay as a destination," said Paul Pepe, manager, Tourism Thunder Bay.

The campaign features a whole new colour scheme to highlight the natural colours found around Thunder Bay with blue, green, and orange, representing air, water, and sun.

Pepe went on to say this refreshed marketing will make visitors feel welcomed and will mean a new era of tourism for Thunder Bay and that he believes this new identity will give the city an edge in the very competitive tourism market.
