KENORA, Ont. – A traffic stop by OPP Tuesday afternoon has led to a seizure of cocaine.
Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on a westbound vehicle for a highway traffic act violation on Highway 17A.
The male driver was arrested and police conducted a search of the vehicle.
Police located about 4,480 grams of cocaine in the vehicle.
The street value of the drugs is about $448,000.
As a result of this investigation, a 44-year-old from Calgary, Alberta has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and five counts of failure to comply with a recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on April 10, 2019 to answer to the charges.
