THUNDER BAY — Deadly and dangerous drugs have been seized by police in a recent traffic stop.

On Sunday evening, officers were on patrol in the area of Pacific Avenue and Simpson Street when they observed a grey sedan being driven with expired license plates.

Officers pulled the vehicle over along Pruden Street and learned that both the driver and passenger were possibly in possession of what police believe to be crystal meth.

During the traffic stop, a quantity of fentanyl, crystal meth and other drug trafficking tools were brought into police custody.

A 40-year-old female suspect and a 44-year-old male suspect, both from Thunder Bay, were arrested and charged with various drug trafficking charges. Both have been remanded into custody and future dates with the courts.
