THUNDER BAY — Canadian Pacific Railway crews were on the scene of a train derailment on the Thunder Bay waterfront Tuesday morning.
A company spokesperson said no one was injured when two units of a freight train left the tracks late Monday night just north of Marina Park.
A photo posted on social media appeared to show at least three cars were involved in the incident, with the third unit leaning but not yet derailed.
The incident occurred at a railway bridge over McVicar Creek.
The CP spokesperson said none of the cargo was spilled.
Multiple crews and heavy equipment were dispatched to the accident site.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
