SHUNIAH, Ont. – A section of MacKenzie Beach Avenue has been reopened after being temporarily closed due to a transformer fire.
Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services, in a post to its Twitter feed, said Hydro One was on scene early Friday afternoon and was working to isolate electrical hazard so fire suppression can commence on pole and surrounding area following a transformer fire.
Fire crews extinguished the fire and cleared the scene.
Hydro One remains on scene.
MacKenzie Beach Avenue has been reopened.
