Truck ends up in Lake Superior after alleged drunk driving incident

THUNDER BAY Police arrested a woman after a vehicle was stolen and then crashed into Lake Superior.

On Oct. 31 officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service found an allegedly stolen pickup truck that had been driven into Lake Superior.

THUNDER BAY – A local woman has been arrested following an incident on Thursday that left a red pickup truck partially submerged in Lake Superior, just north of Marina Park.

According to a news release from the Thunder Bay Police Service, officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports that a stolen vehicle had been driven to that location.

Police said they found a pickup truck that had been driven into the water.

A 23-year-old Thunder Bay woman is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, mischief over $5,000, and impaired operation of a vehicle.
