Trucker charged after Highway 17 collision

A driver from the GTA was charged with careless driving after a collision in which he suffered minor injuries

IGNACE — A truck driver from the Greater Toronto Area suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 17 on the weekend.

According to OPP, officers arrived on the scene in Bradshaw Township about 10 a.m. Saturday, and found a tractor-trailer in the eastbound ditch, with its load spilled.

The driver was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old resident of Pickering is charged with careless driving.
