THUNDER BAY – Police have arrested two suspects believed to be connected to a recent break-and-enter at a north-side business.
City police, in a release issued on Wednesday, said they were called to a business on Villa Street in the early hours of Feb. 26, responding to an alarm.
Upon arrival, officers determined the business had been broken into and was damaged, with merchandise stolen, though the suspects had left prior to police arriving on the scene.
As the result of an investigation Thunder Bay Police Service’s break and enter and robbery unit, a female suspect was identified on March 12 and a male suspect was arrested 13 days later.
A 36-year-old woman is charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence, theft under $5,000.
A 53-year-old man was charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
Both accused were remanded into custody to face a future court date.
