THUNDER BAY — If you drive while you're impaired, be prepared to get nabbed by police, no matter how late at night or early in the morning it may be.
A city man learned that lesson when he was stopped at a RIDE check on the Balsam Street off-ramp from the Thunder Bay Expressway at about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday.
After determining that he had been drinking, officers arrested him and took him to the OPP detachment for further testing.
The 38-year-old was subsequently charged with impaired driving, and released from custody with a court date next month.
OPP said they also found an impaired driver during a traffic stop on Dawson Road within the city limits just before 11:30 pm Monday.
A 47-year-old Thunder Bay man was released from custody with a court date set for November.
