After a year-long court battle, a 58-year-old man arrested in Thunder Bay on sex-related charges has been extradited to the U.S.
Police arrested Patrick Molesti in March of 2010 on a bus passing through the city. The native of France was wanted in Georgia on charges of child pornography and for allegedly attempting to purchase a five-year-old child over the Internet.
Molesti was eventually transferred to a Toronto prison while he fought extradition.
That court battle ended last week, with Molesti being escorted back to Georgia by U.S. Marshalls.
There is no word on when his trial will begin.
