SHUNIAH – Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services was on scene late Tuesday evening at a vehicle fire on Highway 527.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire Tuesday around 8 p.m. on Highway 527 near Gibson Road.
According to a media release, first arriving crews reported a fully involved truck fire located on the southbound shoulder.
Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down, with the fire being declared extinguished at about 8:30 p.m.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
