Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will lead a majority Liberal government with 184 seats. He spoke to his constituents in his home riding of Papineau following his party's historic victory.

 


Stephen Harper resigned as leader of the Conservative Party after the Tories fell from a majority government of 166 seats elected in 2011 to 99 on Monday night. He spoke to his supporters in Calgary.

 

 

In Outremont, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair took the stage to address the NDP's fall from Official Opposition to Third Party status. The NDP had 103 seats in 2011 and were reduced to only 44 in Monday's election.
