Construction has officially started on Thunder Bay's new Super Wal-Mart centre.
Crews have been laying out the groundwork for the new addition, which will expand the store by 40,000-sq. ft. The re-modelled Wal-Mart will feature wider shopping aisles and a full sized grocery section.
The project is expected to be completed by next summer.
Meanwhile, work continues on a new strip mall on Memorial Avenue. Crews are renovating the former home of the Roxy's Nightclub.
The site’s owners are offering four units for lease. Potential tenants include a new restaurant and a clothing store.
Construction is expected to be completed in a couple of months.
