WATERLOO, Ont. – The road wasn’t kind to the Lakehead Thunderwolves.

The Waterloo Warriors held the visiting T-Wolves to just a dozen first-half points on Friday night and cruised to a 75-41 win, dropping LU to 4-12 on the season.

Paula Lopez led the Thunderwolves with 15 points, more than half the 28 points put up by the starting five.

Former St. Ignatius star Alyssa Kreiner hit a pair of three-pointers for the visiting side, the first points of her OUA women’s basketball career.

Carina Fiore, off the bench, led the Warriors with 16 points. Nehita Oko-Oboh had 15.

Lakehead completes their four-game road swing on Saturday night, taking on the Laurier Golden Hawks.

They’re back in town on Jan. 26 and Jan. 27, welcoming the Brock Badgers to the Thunderdome.
