THUNDER BAY – A water main break has been reported near the intersection of John Street and Ontario Street.
City crews are on scene and the city reports that the system should be restored by late Sunday afternoon.
McKellar ward Coun. Brian Hamilton posted to social media that this morning’s break highlights the importance of investing in infrastructure.
“Disruptions like this have impacts not only on motorists but on businesses that rely on reliable traffic systems,” he said in the post.
“If we want good roads we will need to continue investing in critical upgrades, especially to our antiquated underground infrastructure.”
