Waterfront rink now open

Outdoor skating season has officially launched in Thunder Bay.

THUNDER BAY — It's official, the city's first outdoor rink is now open. 

The outdoor rink at Prince Arthur's Landing officially opened for the season on Saturday. 

The Water Garden Pavilion Lodge will be open Monday through Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. for access to indoor washrooms, lockers and benches.

Skating aids will also be available to use at the location for free, on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

The rink will also be a supervised location.
