DRYDEN – A pair of Quibell, ON. residents are facing multiple charges following a search warrant in Wabigoon Township this month.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, officers, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and Northwest Region Crime unit executed an arrest warrant along with a search warrant on Saturday, Feb. 19.
Police say the warrant execution was in response to an investigation started by the Edmonton Police Service on Feb. 15.
The OPP received information from EPS, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Toronto Police Service about death threats being made online.
As a result of a multi-jurisdictional operation Keith Jenkins, 41, of Quibell, ON. has been arrested and charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, three counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, carrying concealed weapons, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm and unauthorized possession of weapon.
Police also charged Sherryn Welgan, 28, of Quibell, ON has been charged with unauthorized possession of weapon, three counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of prohibited or restricted firearm and knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm.
Sherryn WELGAN, 28 years of age of Quibell, ON has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
Both accused have been held for a bail hearing.
