A Transportation Safety Board report has placed the blame for a 2012 air crash in Northwestern Ontario on bad weather and inexperience.
The crash happened in January of last years when a Keystone Air Piper PA-31 out of Winnipeg went down near North Spirit Lake.
The crash claimed the lives of the pilot and three passengers. One passenger survived.
The Transportation Safety Board report concluded that the crash was brought on by a build-up of ice on the plane’s wings, which resulted in the craft stalling.
And while there was an experienced pilot at the controls, he had little experience flying in winter conditions or in remote areas.
