Saturday:
From 2:30 to 4 p.m. Story Time with Drag Queens (and Kings) followed by Crafting with Queens will be at Mary JL Black Library. The events are free and everyone is welcome. Visit the link for more information.
The Lakehead Thunderwolves basketball teams wrap up a weekend series with the Toronto Metropolitan University Bold at the Thunderdome. The women's game starts at 6 p.m., with the men's matchup getting underway at 8 p.m. This Saturday’s matchup will also be the team’s annual “Think Pink” night in association with the TBRHSF, with funds raised going towards breast cancer research in the region. Fans who attend the game and donate $20 or more a the TBRHSF kisoks will be entered into the draw to win a Porter Airlines voucher. The Thunder Bay Autosport Club is hosting ice racing on Mission Bay starting at noon.
From 2 to 4 p.m., enjoy an afternoon of recreation, creativity, and fun for all ages as Winter FunDays continues! Experience the thrill of snowshoeing at Chapples Golf Course. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, everyone is welcome. Snowshoes will be available for use while supplies last. Or, unleash your creativity at the Baggage Building Arts Centre in Marina Park with CAHEP’s Poetry Art craft activity. Combine words and art to express yourself by crafting poetry from magazine cutouts and layering it over your own artwork using various media. Winter FunDays runs every Sunday until March 16, offering a new free activity each week. Don’t miss this perfect opportunity to embrace the season and make the most of winter in Thunder Bay.
