Markets:  

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.  

The Peddlers Pop-up Market is happening at the hub Bazaar on Victoria Ave East from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hub Bazaar is a business incubator with anchor vendors and pop-up peddlers every Saturday! There's a cafe, eatery and even a museum!  

Visit Northern Nature Trading, a special kind of swap shop!  Bring in items you've found in nature and trade them for things in the collection. You can trade things made by nature like rocks, shells, fossils and pine cones. Trading is based on points; you are awarded points for what you know about your item, what makes it different from similar ones and the quality (clean, good condition). Make plans to head to the Second Summer Mini Market/ Vendor Sale/Witchy Gathering at 193 Lakeshore Drive from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., an all-ages, organic mini market to Gather, Teach, Bring Awareness and Celebrate all things witchy! Meet some new people while browsing and taking in the beauty of the majestic gardens. Learn something new and have a mini Reiki session with Debbie. And be sure to sample Sam’s newest, freshly foraged, organic brew that is sure to be chock full of health benefits of the month. There’s sure to be something for everyone! Donations will be accepted for this year’s fundraising recipient “elevateNWO” 

Arts and Heritage:  

Celebrate Fort William Historical Park's 50th Anniversary in 2023! Throughout 2023 the park will be hosting a variety of programs and activities. July 13th to 16th is the Great Rendezvous Historic Re-enactment Rendezvous is a re-creation of the annual summer gathering held at Fort William over 200 years ago when it was the inland headquarters of the North West Company. 

Festivals: 

BrewHa! Festival, hosted by the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, showcases a variety of local and regional culinary offerings including a wide selection of craft beer, cooler & cider tastings, delicious food options, artisan flavours & live music. BrewHa! takes place at the Festival Area of the award-winning Prince Arthur’s Landing on the Waterfront from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a 19+ event. 

Live Theatre: 

Get ready for a twisted take on a classic tale, as this brand-new Beauty and the Beast experience hits the streets of Thunder Bay this Saturday! Based on the original 18th century fairy tale, this magical outdoor adventure combines the challenge of an escape room with the excitement of an interactive scavenger hunt. Hunt for clues, solve puzzles, and complete challenges as your team races against the clock to help Beauty reverse the curse. Grab your bow and arrows and keep your coin pouch close; the Confederation College Performing Arts Club is trekking through the forest to bring you the Entirely Untrue Tales of Robin Hood and his Merry Band this July. Live Music: 

Pink Mafia Productions & Wild Thyme proudly present: Thunder Bay's Next Drag Super Star at Wild Thyme (55 Cumberland Street South) Door Open at 7 p.m. weekly. 19+ event Cover charge is $5 at the door. If you love RuPaul's Drag Race and Canada's Drag Race your going to love this competition. Each week drag performers will be presenting a different challenge showcasing their talents and hoping to make it to the end and become Thunder Bay's First Drag SuperStar and a chance to win the grand prize of $2000.00 plus bragging rights. 

Wiggins Productions proudly presents: Bottoms Up Drag Show featuring Seymour Bottoms at Black Pirates Pub. Doors open at 9 p.m. Show starts at 10 p.m. 19+ (valid ID required) Starring Seymour Bottoms and hosted by Mz. Molly Poppinz this show also features special guests Amber Ail, Ivan Love, Faux Rocious, Shaela Vie, Miss Take, and Jenn Debender. CONTENT WARNING: Mature (and immature) subject matter.
