Saturday, April 22 

Markets: 

The Thunder Bay Country Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition: 425 Northern Ave. head on down to buy local groceries, crafts, and gifts from the talented, hard-working local people who created them.       

The Peddlers Pop-up Market is happening at the hub Bazaar on Victoria Ave East from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hub Bazaar is a business incubator with anchor vendors and pop-up peddlers every Saturday! There's a cafe, eatery and even a museum!     

The Thunder Bay Farmers’ Market is being held at the North End Rec Centre (954 Huron Ave. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Food will be served from the kitchen to eat-in or take-out. For more information, please contact tbfm@tbaytel.net 

The Big Fleamarket and Craft Show will take place at the CLE Coliseum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Treasures and practical items are available from antiques/collectibles through to everyday items. For table rentals/information call 767-5488. Admission is $2.00 per person and children under 12 are free. 

Theatre: 

Do you think Grease is the word? “BEAR GREASE” is a hilarious, indigenous twist on the musical “Grease”. It features an all-indigenous cast starring: Crystle Lightning (Canadian Screen Award Winner for Best Lead Actress “Trickster”) and MC RedCloud (Former World Record holder for “Longest Freestyle Rap”). Come with your singing voices ready to rock and roll for this night of Indigenized Musical Theatre. Talk: Dr. Gordon Edwards - "Radioactive Wastes - The Questions Multiply" Mark your calendars to attend this presentation by Dr. Gordon Edwards: "Radioactive Wastes - The Questions Multiply" on Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day!), 4:30 pm @ the Castlegreen Community Centre, 213 Castlegreen Dr. 

Live Music 

The RCBB presents its 2022/2023 Season Finale; “In the Key of Eh” — a night featuring the music of Canadian artists and composers. Tickets on sale now @musicworldacademy 

Daniel Moroz Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser at Port Arthur Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5. The following bands will be playing at the fundraiser; Cat Sabbath, The Hung Wellgarians, Silent Jay and the Group Chat Spammers, Blu Lemon, and The Slutty’s. There will be a penny auction and 50/50 draw and food. The grand prize is a 50-inch TV. Help keep Daniel’s memory alive and support this yearly scholarship for a deserving student at SCVI. 

Black Pirates Pub is proud to present the debut show of SON HOUND featuring Joshua Therriault, Zak Watson & Alex Cummins. Joining them are newcomers, THE SHAPELY with just their second show, and BPP debut! More TBA. $10 at the door, 19+, Doors at 9 p.m. Show at 10 p.m. 

Sunday, April 23 

Markets: 

Spring is in the Air Vendor Market is all about Shopping with over 55 Local Vendors, Crafters and Small Business owners. Home Baked Goods and Hot Diggety Dog on site with a $5 Combo and the Da Vinci Centre will have a Spaghetti Take-Out in the Afternoon 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. 

The Slovak Legion Ladies Auxiliary 2-BIT AUCTION is back in the Main Hall of the Slovak Legion (801 Atlantic Avenue, Thunder Bay, On) Get ready for a night of fun, competition,  great themed baskets to bid on and good times! Admission $6 (Advanced Tickets available at the Slovak Legion Office from 9 a.m. to noon) Doors open at 12:15p.m.
