What’s Poppin’: Nov. 23 and 24

Saturday

The annual Downtown Fort William Christmas open house is on Saturday. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Look for the Big Red Bows at participating merchants: Victoria's Cupboard, Bella Curves, The Little Mermaid, The Hub Bazaar, Skihaus, Mister J Mens Fashion and Marv Chony Jewellers.

It’s The Hub Bazaar’s 8th birthday! Join them on Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m., 507 Victoria Ave. E., for a day filled with fun, shopping, and special surprises! Be one of 10 lucky winners to snag a $50 gift certificate to spend at any shop inside the Bazaar. There is free cake and coffee while supplies last.

From 5 to 10 p.m., the Lakehead Women’s Soccer Club is hosting its inaugural Women's Championship Cup in support of Faye Peterson House. Located in the LUSU Hangar (955 Sanders Dr.), you can watch the best women’s teams in Thunder Bay compete for the title. Link to donate.

The Lakehead Thunderwolves volleyball team wrap up a weekend series with the Ottawa Gee-Gees at 6 p.m. at the Thunderdome in what will be their final game until the new year.

In Superior International Junior Hockey League action, the Thunder Bay North Stars square off with the Fort Frances Lakers in a 7:30 p.m. match-up at Fort William Gardens.

Sunday

Craft Revival is back on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. taking over about 25 venues in downtown Thunder Bay.

All Weekend Long

Canada's Premier Rock and Gem Event is back, and it's bigger and better than ever. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. visit the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition. $2 for a single ticket and $5 for a family ticket. Tickets are available at the door.
