Saturday
Join Heroes Unleashed and Within You for Ride and Pilates at the lower part of Boulevard Lake, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Matt Devine, former CEO, lost 100 pounds, left his 20-year career and focused on his mental health. With his heart set on finding purpose, he channelled his energy into endurance challenges such as cycling, raising over $160,000 for children’s charities.
Devine will also be at The Brick on Sunday doing a 100 km indoor ride on a fixed trainer and 400 push ups.
On Saturday the Goods and Co. Market is throwing it back to Wheelies with a roller skating/blading event starting at 6 p.m. The market will be transformed into a disco dance roller rink, for all ages to enjoy!
Sunday
On Sunday, Indigo will host a book signing for Lost Between the Cracks by ShaeMichelle Watson from 1 to 4 p.m. Lost Between the Cracks is a biography about trans Anishinaabekwe Elder Mona Hardy, who was from Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek.
Monday
Remember, learn and engage this Canada Day at Fort William Historical Park. On Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a day filled with family-friendly activities to learn and celebrate our nations diverse heritage. Adults ticket cost $12 while senior, students and youth cost $10. Children under attend for free.
Celebrate our community with Canada Day on the Waterfront at Marina Park on Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. The park will offer programming for those who wish to participate, and respect the perspectives and wishes of those who do not.
On Monday, the Red Lion Smokehouse will hold a Canada Day Persian Eating Contest at 3:30 p.m.
All weekend long
The Thunder Bay Border Cats host the Rochester Honkers on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They go head-to-head on Saturday at 6:35 p.m., Sunday at 7:35 p.m., and Monday at 1:35 p.m. for a third time.
