Winnipeg driver nabbed for stunt driving

Another day, another stunt driver was caught on the Trans-Canada Highway.

THUNDER BAY — Provincial police have issued more roadside suspensions and stunt driving charges along the Trans-Canada Highway.

While conducting radar patrol, an OPP officer pulled over a vehicle caught going 153 kilometres per hour in a 90 zone on Highway 11/17 near Shuniah.

The driver, a 25-year-old from Winnipeg, was issued a roadside license suspension for 30 days, as well as a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

Earlier this week, another driver was pulled over by OPP as they were doing 112 kilometres per hour in another 90 km/hr zone. The driver explained to the officer that they "were vibing out" to Toto's Africa while behind the wheel.

That driver was given a warning by the attending officer.

From January to mid-July, the OPP has laid 84 stunt driving related charges.
