THUNDER BAY – A popular series of free family-friendly winter events is set to resume this coming Sunday, as the City of Thunder Bay launches its Winter FunDays programming for 2023.
Participants on Sunday will have the chance to sculpt a "field of mini snow-folk" with the Community Arts and Heritage Education Project (CAHEP).
Future activities include dogsled rides, snowshoeing, a bonfire and figure skating demonstration, bannock-making, and a DJ skating party.
The series will run weekly on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. through March 19.
Most activities will take place at Marina Park, though some will be held at other locations like the West Arthur Community Centre and Chapples Park. More information is available on the city's website.
The outdoor activities are typically accompanied by indoor crafts at the Baggage Arts Building.
