THUNDER BAY -- Environment Canada has issued a winter weather advisory for the city of Thunder Bay, with up to 10 centimetres of snow expected to fall.

The storm is expected to begin on Tuesday afternoon and last throughout the evening.

Environment Canada says an Alberta Clipper is responsible for the winter weather, adding motorists can expect hazardous winter driving conditions and should consider adjusting travel plans.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate.
