THUNDER BAY — An attack on a police officer at Thunder Bay police headquarters has landed a city woman in further trouble with the law.

Police say the 49-year-old showed up Friday at the front desk at 1200 Balmoral Street to inquire about a non-emergency issue.

While she was there, she was arrested and charged with three counts of breaching a judicial release order.

After being taken into custody, the woman then allegedly attacked an officer, resulting in an additional charge of assaulting a peace officer.

The woman appeared in bail court and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
