Woman stabbed at Athens Drive residence

Injuries non life-threatening, but victim remains in hospital after Monday incident.

THUNDER BAY -- A woman has been sent to hospital with multiple stab wounds.

Thunder Bay Police, in a release issued on Tuesday morning, said they received a call at about 8:38 p.m. Monday night from an Athens Drive residence saying a female victim had been stabbed several times.

Within minutes the victim was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for medical treatment.

Police say their investigation shows an altercation took place in the 700 block of the north-side neighbourhood.

The woman remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
